Tony Award-winning actor and dance sensation Kiril Kulish is 16 years old and is currently living in New York and Los Angeles. He played the title role of Billy in Billy Elliot the Musical, which opened on Broadway in November of 2008.
For his starring role, Kiril won the Tony Award for Best actor in a Musical, and was also recently honored with the Fred Astaire Award, The Theater World Award, and the Outer Critics Circle Award. At the age of 12, he received the Hope Award, this prestigious award is presented for “Best Overall Performance” in the Pre-Competitive age division of Youth America Grand Prix – the world’s largest international student ballet competition, whose participants represent some of the world’s best young dance talent.
At the age of 13 Kiril won the Youth Grand Prix Award and for the second year in a row, Kiril won the top award in his age division at the Youth America Grand Prix international student ballet competition. In addition to being recognized as the best dancer in the world in his age division.
Kiril received scholarship offers from some of the world’s most prestigious ballet schools, including Royal Ballet School and Paris Opera Ballet School as well as to perform with the Kings of Dance.
He has been a headliner singing and dancing with Patti Lupone and Kristen Chenoweth as well as dancing and performing with ABT American Ballet Theater in 8 Gala Concerts in Mexico City and in the beautiful Palazio de Bellas Artes.
Known also not only for his acting and dancing skills he is also an accomplished concert pianist and has played out to sold out crowds in Mexico City and Europe.
Also by the time Kiril was 13, he had won the United States Ballroom Dance Championship, and became a US Ballroom Champion.
Currently while working on film/television/theater projects, Kiril continues to perform at special venues where he hopes to inspire people to follow their dreams.
